Nick Matthew claimed the British Grand Prix title for the fourth time – and the third in four years – as he beat James Willstrop in straight games in the latest instalment of their long-running rivalry.

Nick was always ahead in the in the first game as he took the lead 11/7, and led for most of the second too before Willstrop staged a recover making the end of the game very close, only to see Matthew take the first two extra points to double his advantage.

“There were times where I thought this might be my last year but I definitely have plans to finish this season and take it from there. I would dearly, dearly love to play in one more Commonwealth Games and of course the Worlds in Manchester next year.” – Nick Matthew
